George S. Henry was a politician in the early 20th century, serving as the 9th Premier of Ontario from 1930-1934. He was born in 1871 in Whitby, Ontario, and worked as a teacher before entering politics. He was a member of the Conservative Party, and held various positions in the Ontario Legislature before becoming Premier. During his time in office, he faced economic challenges, including the Great Depression, and implemented several policies aimed at stimulating the economy and creating jobs. He was also a strong advocate for education, and expanded the Ontario educational system during his tenure. After leaving office, he continued to be involved in politics and education, and passed away in 1958.
